Spirituality at Hooverwood Living

Hooverwood is proud to provide for the spiritual well-being of all residents

Hooverwood Living has a deep-rooted history in Indianapolis’ Jewish community, but throughout our history we’ve been proud to provide care for individuals from all religious backgrounds. Since 1902, Hooverwood Living (originally known as the Borinstein Home), a constituent agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis, has served as Indiana’s only Jewish extended care facility.

Hooverwood is proud to have residents and staff of various backgrounds, nationalities and religion. We offer other religious services and programming in the Glazer Family Chapel. Jewish values and observances, however, serve as the underpinning of the Hooverwood mission. Mezuzot grace all resident rooms, community spaces, offices and entrance doors to the building. Top leadership, including the CEO and Board of Directors, are members of the Jewish community.
