At Hooverwood, we uphold the values of Judaism by offering kosher meals for our residents. Our kitchen serves traditional, home-cooked meals like matzo ball chicken soup with challah, providing an extra sense of comfort and tradition.
Kosher food is served to residents on the first and second floors. Non-kosher food may be eaten in the Galleria located on the lower level, and in the outdoor patio areas.
What Is Kosher?
Hooverwood serves only foods that are deemed kosher, including beef, poultry, and most fish. Our kitchen also observes kosher methods of preparation, such as not serving dairy and meat during the same meal. We also observe Jewish holidays and traditions that apply at certain times of the year.
