Dreaming of Spring at Hooverwood

Hooverwood-in-the-Spring

It’s cool and gloomy today as we write this, but that just makes us all the more excited to spend time outdoors on a warm, spring day. At Hooverwood, rising temperatures mean we get to take our normal indoor activities—like exercise classes and ice cream sundaes—to a sunny spot outside. And we’re especially looking forward to some of the special events we have planned in April.

On April 8th, we’re having a cookout picnic near the gazebo with all of our residents. We’ll have hamburgers, coleslaw, corn on the cob, and the usual picnic favorites on the menu, of course.

On the 14th and 15th, Hooverwood will be hosting two Passover seders, and all of our residents and their families are invited to join us on either night. To make a reservation, just call our front desk at 317-251-2261.

On the 25th, we’re celebrating Arbor Day with a day of planting in our garden. A group of us will also be going to the zoo! If you’re interested in volunteering to help with gardening or the zoo trip, please contact Kira at kshemesh@hooverwood.org.
