Hooverwood’s Volunteer of the Year | Sheila Nachlis
72-year-old Sheila Nachlis is the first person to receive this award while simultaneously being a resident of the nursing home. She’s the current president of the resident council, makes daily lunch announcements to residents about upcoming birthdays and activities, assists the Hooverwood Guild with mailings, and she has even been helping to lead orientation for new employees by providing a resident’s perspective.
